2005 Silent Earthquake and Deep Tremor
Background information and updates on the 2005 slow earthquake and deep tremor occurring in the Pacific Northwest in September 2005. This earthquake, which affected southern British Columbia and Northern Washington state, is the "predicted 'tremor and slip event' which is related to the movement of the Juan de Fuca and North America tectonic plates along the Cascadia margin of southern British Columbia."
