This site from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources provides information about Chesapeake Bay monitoring, restoration, and protection, and a guide to bay life featuring descriptions of phytoplankton (algae), fish, bay grasses, insects, zooplankton, and benthic organisms (bottom dwellers).
