"Many medications can interact with alcohol, leading to increased risk of illness, injury, or death." This site discusses how alcohol and drugs interact and how common this problem is, as well as gives examples of types of interactions such as those with antihistamines, pain relievers, and sedatives. Alcohol Alert is a publication of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
