"I'm the Guy They Called Deep Throat"
In this July 2005 Vanity Fair interview, "ex-F.B.I. official W. Mark Felt ends a 30-year-old mystery and reveals that he was the confidential Watergate source who assisted Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein— and helped bring down President Richard Nixon." Woodward and Bernstein had planned to reveal the identity of Deep Throat only after his death.
