PAL: Perspectives in American Literature: A Research and Reference Guide
This ongoing project is a "a carefully organized and knowledgeable compendium of sources, definitions, and key topics for use in connection with undergraduate courses in American Literature." The site provides outlines and bibliographies for thousands of authors, themes, and literary movements in the U.S. from colonial days to the present. Maintained by a professor emeritus of English at California State University, Stanislaus.
