Toxicological Profile For Benzene
These documents describe the health effects and risks associated with benzene, "a colorless liquid with a sweet odor" made mostly from petroleum (also found in chemical manufacturing, natural sources such as volcanoes and forest fires, and cigarette smoke). The "Public Health Statement" provides introductory information, and other documents include detailed data and research about topics such as effects on children and on wildlife.
