Deaf Dog Education Action Fund (DDEAF)
"There are 64 dog breeds with reported congenital deafness." Dalmatians have the highest incidence. The Fund's mission is to educate about and provide funding for improving and saving the lives of all deaf dogs. The Web site includes resources for deaf dog owners (books, vibrating collars, e-mail list with similar owners); FAQs (myths and misinformation about deaf dogs, causes/genetics, and training - including how to use sign language); deaf puppies and dogs needing adoption; and a survey for owners to complete.
