Louisiana's Old State Capitol Presents: The Louisiana Purchase Exhibit
This exhibition uses illustrated essays and maps to tell the story of the Louisiana Purchase, which transferred the Louisiana Territory from France to the U.S. in 1803. Subjects of the exhibit include Napoleon Bonaparte and Thomas Jefferson, negotiation of the Louisiana Purchase, congressional debate, and more.
