The history of "the oldest public school in America with a continuous existence. It was founded April 23, 1635 by the Town of Boston ... antedating Harvard College by more than a year." Features an essay tracing the establishment of the school to Reverend John Cotton, a history of the school building, and a hall of fame, with member such as Samuel Adams, Henry Ward Beecher, and Leonard Bernstein.
