Do Cholesterol Drugs Do Any Good?
This January 2008 article discusses the use of statin drugs to reduce cholesterol and treat cardiovascular disease. The article concludes that "research suggests that, except among high-risk heart patients, the benefits of statins such as Lipitor are overstated." Also includes material about side effects from statins and false promises on Alzheimer's disease, and a podcast. From Business Week.
