Maps of the Pimería: Early Cartography of the Southwest
"Pimería was a province or region--never precisely defined--of Spanish colonial Mexico encompassing what is now southern Arizona and northern Sonora, the name being derived from the Pima Indians who live in the region." This site includes over twenty-five maps, ranging in date from 1556 to 1854. Each map features a description and information about the cartographer; some also have brief historical background notes. From the University of Arizona Library.
