California Explores the Ocean: Expeditions
A collection of reports, letters, clippings, ships' logs, published research, and photos of numerous expeditions of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography "to study the seas, marine life and the geology of the sea floor." Includes the Mid-Pacific Expedition (1950), the Capricorn Expedition (1952), the Lusiad Expedition (1962), and the Nova Expedition (1967). A collaboration of the San Diego Historical Society and the University of California, San Diego.
