Thanksgiving and Remembrance Day
Information about the Thanksgiving Day holiday in Canada, which has been celebrated on the second Monday of October since the 1930s. Also notes that "from 1921 to 1930, the Armistice Day Act provided that Thanksgiving would be observed on Armistice Day." Includes "a list of the dates of the proclamations and observance of General Thanksgiving Days, and reasons therefore" back to 1799. From Canadian Heritage, a division of the Canadian government.
