Institute for Appropriate Technology: The Tool Kit
A collection of how-to resources for rural living and self-reliance. Among the guides are instructions on solar and mechanical devices, water systems, practical advice on animal husbandry and farming specific crops, building techniques, killing and dressing venison, cleaning fish, and cheese-making, to name just a few. There are many links to more information, but as of this writing about half of them are dead. Created by a Tennessee environmental organization.
