Althea Gibson
This is the official website for Althea Gibson, who "overcame unbelievable odds to achieve international acclaim and success ... in both amateur tennis and professional golf." Gibson, who died in 2003 at the age of 76, was "the first African-American to win both Wimbledon and the U.S. Championships."
