Everglades Forever Act
This act (Florida Senate Bill 626), signed by Governor Jeb Bush in 2003 and reauthorized in 2006, "reaffirms and strengthens Florida’s commitment to cleaning up" the Everglades. Includes information on the technology known as Periphyton-Based Stormwater Treatment Area (PASTA) that removes phosphorous from water, a brief history of the drainage of the Everglades in the 20th century, water quality standards, progress information, and related links.
