"In recognition of the importance of Charles Darwin's writings, the participating institutions ... offer events and resources about natural selection, evolution, and genetics. Many activities will take place during 2009 which marks the bicentennial of Darwin's birth and the sesquicentennial of the publication of 'On The Origin of Species.'"
