"The Pierpont Morgan Library, once the private domain of the financier-collector Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913), is now a public research library, a museum, an architectural landmark, and a historic site." This site contains the searchable catalog of the library's collections and a guide to the collections. The site provides quite a bit of information for research on medieval and Renaissance history, including detailed descriptions of documents in the collection.
