Concrete Abstractions: Aaron Siskind
Collection of photographs by Aaron Siskind, who "was a politically engaged photographer active in New York's Photo League during the 1930s, when his most ambitious project was a documentation of life in Harlem. But by 1943, his work turned toward abstraction, anticipating the Abstract Expressionism of post-war painting." Photos span the period of 1944 through 1988. From the California Museum of Photography, University of California, Riverside.
