Guide to the Mary McCarthy Papers, 1925Â1990
American novelist, essayist, and critic Mary McCarthy was born in Seattle on June 21, 1912. Her papers are housed in the Vassar College Libraries Manuscript Collections. This site includes a biographical sketch and register of the boxes that contain the McCarthy Papers; the items themselves are not on the site.
