This site provides the results of an annual federal survey of the incidence of disease-causing bacteria at coastal and Great Lakes beaches. "Find Your Beach" leads to an interactive map where you can check the water quality conditions of your local beach, the pollutants that are being monitored, and whether advisories or closures have been issued. From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
