Radical Visions: Graphic Satire in the Yiddish Press, 1894-1939
This small exhibit of cartoons from Yiddish newspapers provides a look at Jewish life at the turn of the 20th century. The five images, which are accompanied by full annotations, demonstrate how biblical imagery was used to comment on social and economic issues of the day. From the library of the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS).
