The Hetch Hetchy Study
In 2005 the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) are reviewing existing studies on the impacts of restoring the Hetch Hetchy Valley (near Yosemite, California) that would entail removing the Hetch Hetchy dam and reservoir, which currently supply water and power to the San Francisco Bay Area.
