This 2003 article describes the airline concierge, "a new breed of staff members whose role is the tender loving care of premium passengers, assisting them with ticketing, upgrades, connections, baggage handling, immigration and customs." It lists a few airline concierge programs, some of which are invitation-only. From the International Herald Tribune.
