Meant for "natural resource professionals and the public," this resource "consists of a growing number of encyclopedias covering different fields of forest science." Some of the encyclopedia subjects include forest environmental threats, the Southern pine beetle, and Southern fire science. Includes notes about the status of the encyclopedias, some of which are in progress. Jointly developed by the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station and Southern Regional Extension Forestry.
