World Digital Library (WDL)
Launched in April 2009, the WDL "makes available on the Internet, free of charge and in multilingual format, significant primary materials from cultures around the world," including manuscripts, maps, books, musical scores, recordings, films, prints, and photographs. Browse by place, time, topic, type of item, or institution. Developed by a team at the U.S. Library of Congress, with contributions by national libraries and with the support of UNESCO and companies and private foundations.
