University of Hawai'i Virtual Museum: Historic Costume Collection
Compilation of materials about historic clothing held by the University of Hawaii, many of which have Hawaiian connections. Click on "Visit the Collection" to see images from exhibits on batik, beach fashions from sarongs to thongs, the holoku, and surface design in east Asian costume. The "Hawaiian Sub-Collection" includes brief information about the holoku, holomuu, mu'umu'u (muumuu), and Aloha shirt.
