Information about AmeriCorps and its service programs in which volunteers "tutor and mentor youth, build affordable housing, teach computer skills, clean parks and streams, run after-school programs, and help communities respond to disasters." Volunteers are awarded educational stipends after completing their term of service. The three AmeriCorps programs, State and National, VISTA, and the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), are administered by The Corporation for National and Community Service.
