Publisher: The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise Raoul Wallenberg Brief biography of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish businessman who volunteered to travel to Budapest during World War II to save the lives of Jews threatened by the Nazis. He was arrested by Soviet troops in 1945 and disappeared. Wallenberg was made an Honorary Citizen of the United States in 1981.
