Stanford Web Credibility Research
URL: http://www.webcredibility.org/

Description:
This site's goal is "to understand what leads people to believe what they find on the Web." (The research is part of a larger project called captology: "understanding how computers can change what people think and do.") Project researchers carry out quantitative research on Web credibility, serve as a clearinghouse for public information, facilitate research and discussion, and aid designers in creating Web sites. From the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab, Stanford University.
