Returns bibliographic data, abstract, and full text of the patent with drawings or photos. Patents from 1790-1976 are also availble, but are searchable only by patent number and current US classifications. Images require ability to view G4 TIFF format. The site provides information on a free version of such a viewer on their Document Formats and Viewers page (on the Web4Lib mailing list, librarians have recommended the AlternaTIFF viewer for Windows machines) .
