From Silk to Oil: Cross-Cultural Connections Along the Silk Roads

This curriculum guide about Asian trading routes, particularly in China, "begins in the second century BCE and ends in the contemporary period. Its twenty-three curriculum units teach the Silk Roads through geography, history, religion, literature, and the arts." Units include lesson plans, study questions, photographs, statistics, and maps. "Supplementary Materials" includes a glossary and lists of additional resources. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education and produced by the China Institute in America.
