This site from the Center for the Study of the Pacific Northwest offers examples of stories and texts written in and about the Pacific Northwest. Essays, commentaries, and sample texts cover five areas: "Texts by and about Natives," "Discovering the Region," "Writing Home," "Aggressive Regionalism," and "Northwest Schools of Lit." "Includes Native American myths, accounts by explorers, pioneer narratives, booster pamphlets, modern poetry, selections from novels, utopian fiction, environmentalist tracts, and travel writing."
