Convergence: Cultural Jamming
URL: http://www.cmp.ucr.edu/exhibitions/convergence/

Description:
Collection of four videos created when the California Museum of Photography asked community members to "transform and reinterpret" promotional material from its archives. The videos were created to mirror "Cultural Jamming," a term used to describe "the abundance of imagery, songs, posters, web sites, etc. that alter and manipulate well known consumer icons to give them new, additional and often political meaning." From the California Museum of Photography, University of California, Riverside.
