The New Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce URL: http://skillscommission.org Description: In December 2006 this commission "unveiled recommendations calling for the biggest changes in the American education system in a century." Suggestions include offering universal pre-kindergarten programs, and enrolling students in college after 10th grade. In October 2008 three governors announced their support.
