The website for this past exhibition features images of the work of Jean-Baptiste Oudry (1686–1755), who was "one of the finest painters of animals in European Art. ... [It] features his vibrant animal portraits as well as decorative arts inspired by the craze for exotic animals in 18th-century Europe."
