Companion to a 2001-2002 exhibit that considers why maps are made, whether maps lead or mislead, and the uses of maps. Features a tour of selected items such as a 1783 British map proposing the boundary between the U.S. and British territory (now Canada), and a 1923 map of Africa's Gold Coast with a fictitious depiction of a hill that looks like an elephant.
