The Secrets of Darwin's Dinobird URL: http://www.slac.stanford.edu/Exploring_Archaeopteryx.aspx Description: This article describes 2008 X-ray imaging research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL) to investigate the Thermopolis Archaeopteryx, a "fossilized half-dinosaur/half-bird species" that was discovered a year after the publication of Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species," and which "provided the strongest evidence yet for the theory of evolution."
