American Highway Project
URL: http://www.highwayproject.org/

Description:
Through photography and oral history interviews, this project documents the disappearing road culture of America. The photographs feature roadside landmarks such as motels, gas stations, theaters, and other oddities found along our highways. Road warriors will love the collection of links that lead them to old billboards, highways, diners, tourist attractions, drive-in theaters, road maps, and other gems of the American road.
