Early Buddhist Manuscripts Project URL: http://depts.washington.edu/ebmp/ Description: This project is studying, editing, and publishing a unique collection of fragments of Buddhist birch bark scrolls acquired by the British Library in 1994. They are probably from the first century A.D.; if so, they are the oldest surviving Buddhist texts. The site includes a description of the fragments, a list of project goals, personnel involved in the project, a plan for publication, sample text and Kharosthi script, downloadable documents and fonts in both PC and Macintosh formats, and links to other related sites.
