Spain -- History -- Civil War, 1936-1939 Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives (ALBA) 
 Established by the Veterans of the Brigade (VALB), this handsome and well maintained site is "devoted to the preservation and dissemination of the history of the North American role in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and its aftermath." As much for the casual browser as the professional historian, ALBA provides images from traveling exhibits, suggested reading, a discussion group, and information about the organization's extensive archives at Brandeis University. "This exhibit focuses on the printed ephemera of the Partido Comunista de España (PCE) and affiliated groups produced in Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. Throughout the conflict, the PCE emerged as one of the prominent organs of propaganda in Madrid."
