An expose of vulnerabilities in electronic voting software. The Johns Hopkins Information Security Institute reported on security risks of the Diebold voting system, and electronic voting systems in general, when they found the system's computer source code on the Internet. "This ... independent scientific analysis of voting system source code demonstrates the fallacy of the closed-source argument for such a critical system." The site has a link to Diebold's rebuttal of the report and responses to the rebuttal.

US-CERT: United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team view detail comment email this

"Established in 2003 to protect the nation's Internet infrastructure, US-CERT coordinates defense against and responses to cyber attacks across the nation." The site features information for system administrators, computer professionals, and nontechnical and government users. Information for home users includes recovering from a Trojan horse computer virus, and home computer security issues (such as anti-virus programs, firewalls, email attachments). Updates are provided by the "National Cyber Alert System." Part of the Department of Homeland Security.
