This online exhibit features the work of Darius Kinsey, brother of Clark Kinsey and "a pioneer artist active as a photographer in the Northwest from the late 19th century to 1940." With his wife, Darius operated a photography studio in the town of Sedro-Wooley, Washington state, before moving to Seattle in 1906 to focus exclusively on logging documentation. Canaris] document the salmon fishing industry on the southern Washington coast and in the lower Columbia River around the year 1897 and offer valuable insights into the history of commercial salmon fishing and the techniques used at the beginning of the 20th century."
