Frameline is an organization that promotes "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer visibility through media arts." They are the producers of the annual International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. Their site has a browsable index of over 200 queer-themed films that are available for rental or sale, which can be helpful in finding more obscure gay-themed films by independent artists.

DEFA Film Library: Cinema of East Germany at the University of Massachusetts Amherst




DEFA's [(Deutsche Film-Aktiengesellschaft)] Film Library "is the only archive and study center outside Europe devoted to the study of the cinema of the former GDR [German Democratic Republic] as well as films dealing with Eastern Germany since unification." Digital Fritz Lang Papers




A collection of 20 short films by German-American film director Fritz Lang from 1938-1953, taken "as he toured around the American Southwest, capturing images of Tombstone Arizona, Death Valley California, a Hopi Native American Village and what is now the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Arizona and the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.
