Subscribing to LII Searches with RSS LII offers several ways to keep up with our high-quality websites. You can subscribe to our free weekly newsletter, and you can subscribe to LII searches (also a free service). Both subscription services are available by RSS (Really Simple Syndication). The weekly newsletter is available by both email and RSS. Subscribing to LII searches by RSS allows you to "roll your own" topics of interest to track. When you subscribe to an LII search, you will be updated whenever we add, remove, or modify an item in that search feed. Getting StartedIf you are familiar with RSS and already subscribe to newsfeeds, just run a search in LII, select the feed from the square orange RSS icon on the left side of the page, and add the feed to your favorite newsreader. If you are not familiar with RSS, see our tutorial about using RSS to read our New This Week newsletter. You will be up and running in five minutes, and we guarantee you will find RSS useful for tracking much more than LII’s newest websites. You who are technically inclined are welcome to integrate LII’s RSS feeds into your website or other online resources. Just to make things fun, our searches are RSS 1.0 and our newsletter is RSS 0.91. Be sure to let us know through our comment function and in next spring's user survey if you like and use this service. |
