The scrapbooks of the Tacoma Mountaineers chronicle their adventures in the mountains of Washington state between 1912 and 1916. "Through these images, hikers — both actual and armchair — can see the world as experienced by the Mountaineers of the early 20th Century." Features local walks in Tacoma, Mount Rainier trips, a history of climbing in the Northwest, and a bibliography. A joint effort of the Tacoma Public Library, Washington State Historical Association, and the Tacoma Mountaineers.
