Bill Gates set up Corbis Corporation to collect and sell digital images, including art reproductions. Has more than 500,000 images (small) available for viewing. It is working to make the archive the most comprehensive digital collection of visual content available anywhere in the world. There is a gallery and subject list of images and now the collection is searchable with the AltaVista search engine. You can view an image and/or send an e-mail picture postcard to a friend.
