A sampling of photos from a variety of collections, some dating back to the 1870s. The exhibits include the "Postcard Collection," which captures "public buildings, main street scenes, town panoramas, amusements, and transportation"; "Department of Corrections Mug Shot Collection"; WPA projects; photos and a virtual tour of a couple orphanages; and other images depicting early 20th century life in Colorado.

The database includes thousands of articles, graphics, letters to the editor, and advertisements. Searchable, or browsable by newspaper and date or by featured topic. Includes a FAQ. A collaborative project of the Colorado Digitization Program, the Colorado State Library, and the Colorado Historical Society. Note: may not work properly in all browsers.
