Later, when the birds are mature, they are led south by the OM team on a pre-determined route to a safe wintering site." Includes photo and field journals and video clips of their work with Canada geese, Sandhill cranes, and whooping cranes. http://www.operationmigration.org/ Topics: Birds, Photograph Collections: Nature & Wildlife, Photograph Collections: Regional, Regions of the World, Transportation Last updated Jan 2, 2002 Whooping Crane: Lessons, Activities and Information This site "tells the story of restoring Whooping Cranes to their former Eastern and Midwestern ranges with ultralight planes 'teaching' the way.
