This site offers information about the synthetic estrogen diethylstilbestrol (DES). Used from 1938-1971 to treat pregnancy complications, it is now believed that "women who took DES and the children they carried are at risk for certain health problems and may need special care." The site outlines the risks, tells how to identify exposure, lists alternative names of the drug, and has news about conferences, legislation, and research. There are annotated links to additional resources.
